Disappearance

The morning of August 8th, 2012, David told his friends Donny and Laura that he was going to meet with an unnamed client at the Dollar General Store. He described the client as an older man who was interested in his stonework.

David had plans to visit his family in Michigan but had delayed his trip due to this meeting with a client.

Later that afternoon, David drove to the Dollar General Store on 8910 Sparta Pike, Watertown, Tennessee. A friend of David’s reported seeing him as she was leaving the store, around 1 pm. The two spoke in the parking lot for about 10 minutes before leaving.

Surveillance footage from the store did not show David going inside the store. David was never seen or heard from since.

His two friends at the farm, grew concerned when David never returned home that day. His dog Richocet Coyote and suitcase he had packed for his trip to Michigan, were left at his home.

Donny and Laura began calling around town trying to find him as well as his 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck.

The Search

David’s 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck was found abandoned at the Dollar General store’s parking lot.

Due to David living off the grid, investigators found it hard to track his movements. Search dogs picked up a scent leading to the adjacent spot next to his pickup truck’s driver side, in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store.

The unknown client David was going to meet that day has still not been identified, and authorities are unable to find the construction site David was suppose to work on for this client.

Update: Remains Discovered
